Dr. Edward Bach was a practicing physician who became disenchanted with the orthodox approach to medicine. In the 1930s, he worked to create a more simple, natural method of healing. He devised the Bach Flower Remedies to aid in balancing emotional states through the use of plant essences. The Bach Flower Oracle by Beate Helm is a guide to Bach's 38 remedies and a tool for personanl guidance. Each card gives the fundamental qualities of one remedy. A keyword at the top identifies the emotion. Listed below are negative and positive qualities associated with that state. Negative qualities are weaknesses which need to be overcome; positive qualities are strengths to be gained. The associated flower or plant is given at the bottom. Bach Flower Remedies are available at many health food stores and similar outlets.
