Tarot of the Hidden Folk

[Hierophant] [Ace6 of Cups] The Tarot of the Hidden Folk by Giacinto Gaudenzi is based on the magical creatures who live in the Secret Realm or fairy world. These figures represent the forces of the natural world. The major arcana cards are the keepers of the universal power - the fundamental energies of nature. The sixteen court cards are the rulers of this realm. The minor arcana cards show gnomes, fairies, elves and other such beings in poses reflecting each card's meaning. The suit symbols are not uniform as they are in most decks. For example, the swords suit has cutlasses, daggers and straight swords. The Tarot of the Hidden Folk is produced by Lo Scarabeo in Italy and distributed in the US by Llewellyn. It appears to be a renamed version of Lo Scarabeo's Enchanted Tarot released in 2000. (The Enchanted Tarot was itself based on the earlier Tarots of the Golden Dawn which is now out of print.)
