Elemental Tarot
The first edition of Caroline Smith's deck is out of print, but now the Elemental Tarot is available again. This brightly-colored deck shows symbolic scenes that convey meaning at many different levels. Each card of the major arcana has the card name and number, a keyword meaning, the astrological correspondences and two fitting lines from an ancient poem about the fusing of opposites. For example, the lines for the Fool are:
"I am the unlearned and they can learn from me." The four suits are the four elements and the four court cards represent a family. Minor arcana cards are each associated with a god or goddess. They show number and Egyptian symbols as well. The set includes the book Elemental Tarot by Smith and John Astrop. It describes a systematic approach to the tarot and explains all the symbols (128 pages). Smith and Astrop are also the creators of the Moon Oracle.
