Halloween Tarot
Kipling West has "twisted, turned and tweaked" the traditional images of the Rider-Waite deck "to create a festive, if slightly freakish, old-time Halloween world." This deck features the usual Halloween characters and symbols. A black cat appears on every card. The deck also draws on figures such as the Mummy from old horror movies and other scary settings. More traditional tarot symbols are also woven into the images. The 4 suit symbols have been changed to match the Halloween theme: Wands = Imps, Cups = Ghosts, Swords = Bats and Pentacles = Pumpkins. There is a book to go with this deck called The Halloween Tarot written by Karin Lee (148 pages). The book offers an account of Halloween history and traditions as well as more information about the deck.
