Spiral Tarot
The Spiral Tarot is a recent deck created by artist Kay Steventon. She has drawn rich, detailed images that incorporate figures from Celtic, Greek and Roman mythology, among others. The major arcana cards show the astrological sign and Hebrew letter that correspond to that card. The minor arcana suits are the standard Wands, Swords, Cups and Pentacles. The court card page has been changed to a princess. Steventon considers the different numbered cards as falling under the aegis of the corresponding major arcana card. For example, the twos belong to the High Priestess and the threes to the Empress. There is a separate companion book for this deck called Spiral Tarot. Steventon explores "legends and traditions of mythical imagery and ancient Celtic wisdom."
